Just beyond the curtain, lies hidden worlds of glamour, ghosts and secrets.

Sneak BackStage of the Darwin Entertainment Centre as we wipe away the heavy makeup to expose the truth, lies, mishaps and magic of life in the theatre and our own lives.

A combination of immersive theatre, audio storytelling, dance and performance, BackStage will surprise and delight you as you’re wrapped within glitzy and gritty dressing room walls and then catapulted through time and space to explore the real lives of performers.

When:  20 - 22 November

Where: Darwin Entertainment Centre:

Length:  60 minutes

Cost: $35

We invite you to be part of this new site responsive and immersive work, delving into the stories of theatres to reveal vulnerability, joy, despair and triumph.  In a year that has seen live performance decimated, BackStage shines an important light on the real people who are often hidden under fancy wigs and sparkling sequins, or forgotten behind centre stage curtains or cloak room doors.
